| FORD DRIVING THE ABU DHABI INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON TO BE AN INSTANT CLASSIC |
|
Abu Dhabi International Triathlon is pleased to announce Ford as official vehicle partner for the inaugural event to be held this March. Ford will be there as some 800 athletes and age group amateurs 'take there marks' to bike, swim and run the uniquely designed course which is sure to push all competitors to achieve their personal best. As excitement builds around ADIT, which is organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), it is being earmarked by sponsors as a perfect vehicle to deliver brand leverage and memorable brand experience to a captive live and TV audience, which numbers in the millions. "Companies and organisations have the opportunity to reach thousands of active individuals through sponsorship of the world's most exciting new triathlon. With over 800 entrants, a spectacular central Abu Dhabi race route, and year round marketing across the globe, there is nothing quite like ADIT," said John Hazan, the event's Operations Director. The Abu Dhabi International Triathlon will offer age group amateur athletes the chance to race alongside the current legends of triathlon. No other event outside of Hawaii is likely to present a field of champions to this magnitude where amateurs can benchmark their skills against elite athletes - testing physical endurance, agility and ability. The event currently has some 800 entrants from 31 countries. The combination of a first time event and the opportunity to race in one of the most unique long distance courses in the world will hopefully ensure ADIT becomes an instant international classic. The adrenaline-pumping event boasts a testing 223kms 'pure power' course and will mark the debut of a race of this length and discipline distances. The route has been specially designed to take in a host of Abu Dhabi city landmarks with a second 111.5kms route especially for team relay events.
