TRIATHLETES of all abilities are encouraged to sign up for a new race in a
picturesque Cheshire setting.

Registration for the inaugural Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon on June 26-27
is now open.

Part of the national Castle Triathlon Series consisting of four races
throughout the summer, organisers want to enable triathletes of all
abilities to compete.

James Hall, estate manager at Cholmondeley Castle, said: “We’re delighted
to be hosting our first triathlon on the estate.

“We hope this is the first triathlon of many to take place in our
beautiful and unique setting.“

At Cholmondeley Castle all races start with competitors launching into an
open water swim in the Deer Park Mere Lake.

The cycle circumnavigates Bickerton Hill and the run passes through the
stunning estate grounds.

Triathletes finish by sprinting down the main lawn to the finish with the
castle in the background.

There are different race distances to suit all ages and abilities.

The Castle Triathlon Series will donate 10% of profits to Help for Heroes,
a national charity providing help and services to wounded soldiers.

Cost ranges from £50 to £70. There is also a team category.

To register log onto www.castletriathlonseries.co.uk or call 01892 870681.
