Description
Due to popular demand, the Beginner and Intermediate swim classes are BACK. This Winter, I will be offering a Beginner AND an Intermediate series. Each series is made of 3 classes. Classes are designed to be taken as a series of 3 but you can also sign up for each one individually. I WILL HAVE 3 SERIES ONLY: JANUARY, FEBRUARY, AND MARCH. THIS IS A FUN CLASS - DON'T MISS OUT!
This is a great way to prepare for early-season races and learn or refine your skills. These classes are to help you with both your pool and open water swimming in a structured but casual environment. If you are looking to do a triathlon in the near future or if you could use some help getting your swimming to a place where you can attend a masters swim practice, then these clinics are for you. (see below for more details and to find out which class is for you). CLASSES WILL FILL UP FAST SO PLEASE DON'T WAIT TO SIGN UP.
All classes will be held at the Pardee Aquatic Center at the Boys and Girls Club in Solana Beach at 533 Lomas Santa Fe Solana Beach, CA 92075 Pool Phone: 858-755-4904 from 7:00pm-8:30pm. The format is 30 minutes of lecture/video and 60 minutes of skills and drills.
There will be a different topic each week (see below). You can sign up for 1, 2 or all 3 classes. The cost of each class is $50 or you can sign up for all three in the series for $140 (savings of $10). Members of TCSD will receive an additional discount $40/class and $110 for the series. (make sure to sign up for the TCSD category to receive your discount)
We are going to cover all of the basics. This clinic is designed for people who are new swimmers, are struggling in master's, need extra help in a small group setting, or for those of you who may want to correct some bad habits. Each clinic is 90 minutes long and includes a short discussion, demonstration, and some drills on land followed by a 60 minute in-water session. During the in-water session, we will do all 25's in the beginner class (1 length of the pool) / all 50's in the intermediate class (2 lengths of the pool) and you will get plenty of rest because we will be focusing on technique and not speed. If the last swim lesson that you had was when you were 8, this is a good class for you.
I have room for 20 people in each class. In order to reserve your spot, you must sign up and pay through www.active.com (please see links below). Once you sign up through active.com, you do NOT need to send me an e-mail letting me know that you have completed your registration (active.com will do this for you). But you can always contact me if you have any questions or concerns. - MAKE SURE TO SELECT THE LINK FOR ALL THREE CLASSES IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNTED SERIES PRICE - THANKS!
